I am running KDE4 in openSUSE 11.1 (64bit) on a Dell Inspiron 6400.

I was installing kile-2.0.3-2.1.x64.rpm (a LaTex package) which has a dependency of kdegraphics3-tex.

Unfortunately this fails on a dependency for libkmultipage.so.o()(64bit).

I can't find anything that provides this file.

Can anyone help?

Many thanks

That will likely be a part of either KDE Extragear Libs or KDE 3 Libs. Given its name, it is likely to be part of KDE Libs. Please ensure that the package you have is designed for openSUSE.
That requirement also looks dodgy, shouldn't it be libkmultipage.so.x? where x is an Integer.

Thanks mate.

My bad - should have been libkmultipage.so.0

Have looked at KDE 3 Libs but it doesn't seem to be there. Will have a poke around in Extragear Libs.

Cheers

Hmmm. Many thanks for the suggestions, but neither KDE Extragear Libs nor KDE 3 Libs has this file. rpm.pbone.net can't find it either.

Do you have any other thoughts?

rpm.pbone (http://rpm.pbone.net/index.php3/stat/4/ ... 4.rpm.html) returns the following requires:

Requires :
texlive
/bin/sh
/bin/sh
rpmlib(PayloadFilesHavePrefix) <= 4.0-1
rpmlib(CompressedFileNames) <= 3.0.4-1
libDCOP.so.4()(64bit)
libc.so.6()(64bit)
libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.2.5)(64bit)
libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.3.4)(64bit)
libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.4)(64bit)
libfreetype.so.6()(64bit)
libkdecore.so.4()(64bit)
libkdeprint.so.4()(64bit)
libkdeui.so.4()(64bit)
libkio.so.4()(64bit)
libkmultipage.so.0()(64bit)
libkparts.so.2()(64bit)
libm.so.6()(64bit)
libm.so.6(GLIBC_2.2.5)(64bit)
libqt-mt.so.3()(64bit)
libstdc++.so.6()(64bit)
libstdc++.so.6(CXXABI_1.3)(64bit)
libstdc++.so.6(GLIBCXX_3.4)(64bit)
rpmlib(PayloadIsLzma) <= 4.4.2-1

But libkmultipage.so.0()(64bit) seems to be MIA :-(

Thanks a lot!

This seems likely to be a bug in their packaging, since the file /opt/kde3/lib/kde3/libkmultipart.so exists on my system. Please file a bug at bugzilla.novell.com
