Hi All,
I want to know, How I can modify the appearance of KDE applications just like other Gnome applications in ubuntu? P.S. I installed gtk2-engines-qtcurve package but nothing changed! although all Qt applications appeared well after modifying their appearance from "Qt 4 settings".

If you have it installed, open System Settings, open "Appearance" and select "Styles". By selecting "Gtk" from the drop down, KDE and Qt applications will use Gtk for drawing giving them a GNOME native look.

That is the GNOME Control Center, and has no bearing to the application I was referring to. Please open a terminal application or run dialog ( its Alt + F2 in KDE ) and enter "systemsettings". If the application is not available try this instead "kcmshell4 style"

yes, I'm using ubuntu. I don't want to install KDE "systemsettings" because KDE4 is very slow on my PC. I don't know why!
I tried to run it, but it gave me this error message.

You need to install the Styles KCM to configure the appearance of KDE applications. This is likely part of KDEBase. Note that installing KDE 4 will not affect your system's performance, unless you use it.

I've installed KDEBase successfully thus I could run systemsettings but it shows empty windows (except search lineEdit)! Is there something missing ? |

You also would need to install package kdebase-workspace-data to get the kcm files.

nothing changed:((, but I'll install kdebase-workspace-bin package to see if this could fix this issue. |

Try running "kbuildsycoca4 --noincremental" after installing those packages.

I tried but I got the following errors:

Those are harmless warning messages, and is just KDE being pedantic. The files it references are still actually being read. They can safely be ignored.
