Does Puppy Linux provide a compiler, development packages and Qt4?

First extract the files into a clean directory, in this instance I will use ~/kdebuild

Code: Select all
cd ~/kdebuild
mkdir build
cd build
mkdir kdesupport kdelibs kdepimlibs kdebase
cd kdesupport
cmake ../../kdesupport -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=/path/to/where/you/wish/to/install/KDE

You will likely need to install some additional dependencies. Installing into /usr/ is not recommended.

The order of KDE module compilation is:

KDESupport KDELibs KDEPIMLibs KDEBase <all other modules ( order no longer matters )

I love Puppy Linux very much. I hate Gentoo, so I never install GENTOO :D
