Ok. I got my netbook...but one problem, wireless does not work.
I've tried Eeebuntu and Ubuntu Netbook Remix, but the included internet connection managers cannot seem to find my wireless hardware It's a Asus EeePC 1005HA Seashell, came with XP. Help please, folks, I've got no idea what to do!

Tried, no card found.
I'm currently attempting the same in Ubuntu 9.10 netbook remix...it finds the damn thing but keeps crashing before it installs. I'm going to install an older Eeebuntu if it fails again.

Moved to Linux.
Edit: You can try this: http://wiki.eeeuser.com/niceeepc There are many Eee PC owners who use Ubuntu, so it shouldn't be too hard to find a solution if you search on Google.

UPDATE:
Ok, I was using UNetBootIn to create a liveUSB system...however, for some odd reason, UNETBOOTIN is only installing the idlinux text file, and KDE now refers to my USB stick as <body> Can anyone explain this??? UPDATE 2: Ok, considering the sound system has stalled, and I now have sevreal devices named </body> within the media directory, and the fact that the laptop seems to be freezing during tasks like opening KWallet...I'm going to think the latest batch of updates to 9.10 didnt so much update as break.

Some manufacturers connect wireless / bluetooth / etc through internal usb connections, so you may wish to check lsusb as well.

Right, this was fixed; in turned out to be a bug in Ubuntu (which, apparently, had a great deal of trouble with WPA networks for the first couple of weeks of it's existance)
It was fixed. Kubuntu is able to connect, but I've ended up keeping UNR on their for now, simply because KDE-netbook isn't ready yet
