Trouble with software updates and okular

Hi

I recently applied all the software updates available through the KDE Control Module. At the very end it crashed - something about needing to fork. Unfortunately I closed the program before saving the error. Now when I open it, it doesn't give any indication anything went wrong.

However, now Okular crashes every time I open it with a signal 11 (SIGSEGV).

I'm running Kubuntu. Also a newbie, if you haven't guessed already...

Is there some way I could check all my packages and make sure they are ok?

Thanks.

Apparently Kubuntu included a security patch to poppler ( the library Okular uses to handle PDF's ) which broke its binary compatibility. This causes any application that tries to interact with poppler to crash at this time unfortunately.

You will need to wait for Kubuntu to ship a fix for this unfortunately.
