I have looked at both Mandriva 2010.0 and Kubuntu 9.10 and there is no longer a link to accessing my other hard drives; I have 4 total. Any idea what I can do? Besides remaining with any OS with KDE 3.5.x?

Pepse.

You should still have the Mandriva Control Center. Use that to find, identify and mount your drives. Once you have them mounted you can access them in Dolphin. It's particularly useful to drag the folder for each drive into Places within Dolphin. I would recommend that you read http://userbase.kde.org/Tutorials/File_Management

Sorry I didn't respond sooner. KDE doe NOT notify me of any replies to my posts. Same as Mandriva community. Annew, I will go to my Mandriva drive and look into it. Thanx.

Pepse.

You need to subscribe to the topics if you want to be notified of new replies. There's a "Subscribe topic" link at the bottom of the page (yes it's hard to see - will hopefully be moved to a better place soon).

If that doesn't get you what you need, try to tell us in detail

a) whether the drives are fixed or removable
b) local or on a different box
c) any methods you have tried to find the drive contents.

I have to say, though, that Mandriva's tools are excellent. If you can get the access using diskdrake, then you will be able to see how it did it and copy something similar to the *buntu setup.
