Hey all
I'm looking to get my first place soon! But, I'm REALLY not too keen on spending a lot of money for TV; as the case is in the UK, many of our TV providers stream it over the net for free. I was wondering if there was any easy distro that was designed for just playing the role of 'set-top-box'? I've looked at Mythbuntu, and all it's telling me is that I need a back-end, with server config...I have no idea what to do...

Hi there. In MythTV one machine can easily be both the front and back ends. You can also connect as many font ends to wherever your backend is, if desired. So, somply installing the whole (front and back) on a PC will give you full HTPC functionality. |

I just simply wish there was a Linux distro designed to operate without any setup for multimedia; links to BBC iPlayer, 4oD, YouTube...etc all in a nice Netbook remix style interface.
