I installed 2.1 via apt-get install amarok. I'm using Ubuntu Jaunty. I added the repositories listed under the Staying current section http://amarok.kde.org/wiki/Download:Kubuntuon the Amarok Kbuntu download page

Code: Select all
In a terminal or terminal emulator (such as Konsole):

sudo su -c 'echo "deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/kubuntu-ppa/ppa/ubuntu karmic main" >> /etc/apt/sources.list'
sudo su -c 'echo "deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/kubuntu-ppa/backports/ubuntu karmic main" >> /etc/apt/sources.list'
sudo apt-key adv --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com --recv-keys 2836CB0A8AC93F7A
sudo aptitude update && sudo aptitude safe-upgrade

I changed references to Karmic to Jaunty, then did an apt-get update and again attempted apt-get install amarok.

I received a message saying that I already had the latest installed. How can I go about manually installing 2.2.2 Maya Gold? Thanks!
