How to set kdeglobals

Thu Feb 18, 2010 6:00 am
When I recompile Krita, every time I reboot, I need to run the following in the command line before the binaries will run:

export KDEDIRS=$KDEDIRS:~/Apps/koffice/install
export PATH=$PATH:~/Apps/koffice/install/bin
kbuildsycoca4

Apparently, somehow you can add these to /home/user/.kde/share/config/kdeglobals to have them set automatically every time you log in.

Can anyone give me any idea the format of how I would add this to kdeglobals to get it to work. So far all my experiments have failed. :(

Thanks!

Simply put the following lines in ~/.bashrc

Code: Select all
export KDEDIRS=$KDEDIRS:~/Apps/koffice/install
export PATH=$PATH:~/Apps/koffice/install/bin
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=~/Apps/koffice/install:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH
