suse linux display problem

Hi, i am beginner at Linux os, we are using Suse linux 10.1 - kernel 2.6.16.13-4 default (tty1). We are getting fatal error 104 on X server ":0.0" message and no display coming in monitor you can please guide us whether it is an error occured in harddisk or graphic card & provide some solutions. we thank you

openSUSE 10.1 is no longer supported; it is certainly possible that you are trying to use it with hardware which was produced after it which would explain your problem.

The current version is 11.2 available from opensuse.org

I'm lovin the 11.2. I have been extremely happy with it and have had virtually no issues what-so-ever.
