CPU usage "KDE4"

Mon Apr 26, 2010 2:38 pm
Hi
First of all thanks to KDE's developers and contributors on this forum.
I have installed KDE 4.3.4 on Debian squeeze. on top output, KDE usage is 100% !! I have installed widgets on my KDE.
This problem has lead to some issue in performance and running another application.

Thanks in advance

Which widgets do you have running? Exactly which process is using 100 % CPU?

Hi
Thanks for your attention
Name of process is "kde4".
The widgets I set on my desktop:
1- Persian calendar
2- Note
3- System monitoring (Ram,network links,CPU)
4- Analog clock

Thanks for nay help or guidance

Hm, that's weird. You can try to quit plasma-desktop and see if it helps. Press Alt+F2 and type
Code: Select all
kquitapp plasma-desktop

Your desktop and panel(s) will vanish and leave you with a black screen. Now you can bring up System Monitor with Alt+Esc and check the CPU usage.

When you want your desktop back, use Alt+F2 again and enter
Code: Select all
plasma-desktop
