first of all, i'm totally new with the Ubuntu. i have installed Amarok soon after the ubuntu installed and ma problem is, Amarok doesn't play any kinda track. but i get it open and load files..... can some one help me please....? ma email id haitony8@gmail.com

If you are trying to play an audio CD with Amarok, you will have 'issues.' Amarok and audio CDs just don't go together. It is a very common complaint.

Does your computer make any noise? If not, please check the ubuntu forum for "alsa" (advanced linux sound architecture) as this is likely to be the cause of your problems.

i have already got a suggestion to install the ubuntu restricted extras and i have installed and i got the Rhythm box starts playing and it is a happy news. after installing the restricted extras i had a bug report and it is said ma Amarok is crashed. so what am i supposed to do now?
