Wireless in kubuntu 10.10

Thu Nov 04, 2010 12:52 am
I'd been using kubuntu 10.04 for a while when I decided it was a bit too buggy for me. I kept it around in addition to gnome, which was my main desktop, but since I've upgraded to 10.10 I've been longing for KDE. I offer into kubuntu maverick, only to find that my Internet wasn't working!!! Anyone know what's going on?!? I have a mid-2007 MacBook dual booting ubuntu/kubuntu and os x

Is your wireless card detected? Please provide the output of "lspci" and "iwconfig".
I think Apple products use Broadcom chipsets, which except for the very latest N cards, with the latest Linux Kernel, are not supported unless you load firmware.
