How to install KDE 4.5 in Ubuntu? From sources?

I want to install KDE in Ubuntu 10.10. I know there is kubuntu-dekstop in Synaptic but I want for fun install it from sources.
How to remove permamently Gnome with dependencies and install KDE ?
