I am currently using the standard Gnome Fedora 14, but wish to move back to KDE. Which would be a smarter choice for me to move to, the KDE spin of Fedora 14, or OpenSUSE 11.3?

I use openSuse and think it's the best but I'm sure others will disagree (and not just Fedora users) - my advice is that if you're happy with Fedora then moving to the KDE spin will be the easiest, quickest and most comfortable way to move to KDE.

I would say Mandriva
Very Good implementation of KDE. KDE 4.5.4 is available from MIB Repos. |

I tried both OpenSuse and Fedora for a few days and both worked really well. Fedora is a little bit more bleeding edge than opensuse, therefore I usually recommend Opensuse Regards

I tried them both and prefer Fedora's KDE, it seems less bulky. However since my desktop is dead atm, and kde is slow on my laptop I am stuck with gnome.

Have a look at Kororaa - https://kororaa.org/. It is a new Fedora KDE spin with some extra but popular apps or also available as a very sparse base system.

I'll check it out once my new cd case comes. My 24 disc distro case is full and I don't want any loose cd's sitting around. |
