Hey guys iv been wondering for my first post! been a user for a long time. i installed ubuntu 10.10 netbook so i put kde netbook on there it seems out of date but i can be wrong i got it from the systematic package manager. ps if you can help me with this you don't have to how do i get rid of the unity login ? i want to use kde full time!

To get rid of the Unity login screen you will need to switch to KDM. Unfortunately details on how to do this vary per distribution, you may be able to find information on how to switch between GDM/KDM on the Ubuntu Wiki.
Note that unless you add extra repositories (full instructions available on the kubuntu.org site) you won't recieve the latest version of KDE, but only bugfixes to the version shipped with it (which I suspect is KDE 4.5)
