/var/spool/mail/ deleted

Hi,
in configuring mutt, i made a mistake in deleting my folder /var/spool/mail/ and my mail file in /var/mail.
how can i create my /var/spool/mail folder, and my mail file in /var/mail

The directory /var/spool/mail is usually owned by root... so you shouldn't have been able to delete it.

Your mail file in /var/mail/ will be automatically created by your MTA next time it recieves an email for you.

To trick it, you can use telnet to perform a mail test, with the RCPT TO destination set to be <username>@localhost.
