Hi,
My laptop has a generic "battery button" that you can press to see information about the battery. In XFCE, pressing it brings up a notification with information on the battery that disappears after a few seconds. I rather like that In KDE, pressing it does nothing. I've checked in the Shortcuts KCM: I can't see anything reated to batteries and assigning the shortcut works - an action is said to be bound to "Battery". Ideally, I'd like to be able to get the information that appears when you hover the mouse pointer over the Battery MOnitor applet in the system tray when pressing the button. Thanks. |

you could enable the battery monitor in the system tray, no idea if it will function as in XFCE but will show battery status

Thank you, google01103! When looking at the System Tray settings, I saw that you could assign a shortcut to it. While it's not the information-only thing I'd been wanting, it certainly works for me
