I recently tried Kubuntu 12.04 Beta 1 and I hope I am in the right place as this might be a KDE issue, but for one reason or another Firefox shows with a black look to it. You really cannot read any text in the drop down boxes unless you mouse over it.

I take it what ever happened here happened also when I used the previous version stable. It was fine at first and then I added some icon themes and it changed Firefox also. So I am thinking it may be related although I never added any icons to the beta version and it did it also.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, and also if this topic has been discussed already, I apologize as I tried to find it. Please feel free to remove or move topic once it is solved.

the only problem is the drop down menus in FireFox? The color theme of FireFox is dark and is different then the other apps' theme?

if you login as a different user does this still happen?

if you change the icons back to default does the issue go away?

did you change the desktop theme?

are you running a custom FireFox theme?

I re - installed the newest beta Kubuntu and so far I cannot duplicate the issue. I am thinking there must have been a theme it did not like.

I will keep trying and report back if I can figure it out. Thanks!
