I recently tried Kubuntu 12.04 Beta 1 and I hope I am in the right place as this might be a KDE issue, but for one reason or another Firefox shows with a black look to it. You really cannot read any text in the drop down boxes unless you mouse over it.
I take it what ever happened here happened also when I used the previous version stable. It was fine at first and then I added some icon themes and it changed Firefox also. So I am thinking it may be related although I never added any icons to the beta version and it did it also. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and also if this topic has been discussed already, I apologize as I tried to find it. Please feel free to remove or move topic once it is solved. |

the only problem is the drop down menus in FireFox? The color theme of FireFox is dark and is different then the other apps' theme?
if you login as a different user does this still happen? if you change the icons back to default does the issue go away? did you change the desktop theme? are you running a custom FireFox theme? |

I re - installed the newest beta Kubuntu and so far I cannot duplicate the issue. I am thinking there must have been a theme it did not like.
I will keep trying and report back if I can figure it out. Thanks! |
