But now, I can't find out an item to add/remove software tool on KDE.
like gnome an item(add/remove software) on gnome on utility menu.

Is an item to add or remove software on KDE?

Thank you!

New versions will have apper but I think Centos has an older version of KDE so it should include Kpackagekit. The Gnome add/remove option will also work if you are running both DEs on the same system. You probably have other options too like Yumex which is a GUI for Yum although you may have to install that.

Hi,
I using Centos 6, but I don't know version KDE is.
I want to know where should it be? e.g. System -> somewhere?
Yumex is same tool for add / remove software on gnome, right?
Just install it by yum install yumex?

Thank you!

If you have GNOME installed already, and have been using it's software management tools then you should simply be able to launch them under KDE - no further installation required.

As for determining your KDE version, open any KDE application > Help > About KDE.

Yes that will get yumex if it is available for Centos. I'm guessing it is.

As bcooksley says your Gnome software will still run under KDE.
