Hello again. I been away for a while, when I came back my software center was not working. Muon Package manager also had problems. I fixed the package manager using the "repair broken packages" within Grub. But the Software center has a bug report as follows:
Executable: muon-installer PID: 15020 Signal: Segmentation fault (11) I did a clean install on my brothers computer and he is having the same issue with the software center. All three of my computers cannot get to the S.C. I tried looking for things that may have to do with it but to no avail. I googled the problem and did a few terminal commands, I thought I had it but no go. I apologize if this is the wrong are to post this. I thought it was the most relevant. My versions are: OS- Linux 3.0.0-16-generic KDE- 4.7.4 (4.7.4) Am I outdated? I see a new release is coming in April... I can't wait for that. Thanks in advance. |

Are you able to generate a backtrace (using the Developer Information tab)?

Unfortunately it is the Thread 1 section that is important, and that appears to be cut off.
In any case, this appears to be a crash. As it is in the Muon Software Center, you may find faster help towards a solution on the Kubuntu forums.

Thanks Bcooksley for the referral to kubuntu forums. I did find the answer there, I figure I'll post the solution here also in case someone else can't find it through google.
This solution works perfectly. Follow the link below apply the changes stated on the site. After you add the new repository just return to the package manager and run another update. The instructions are clear and easy. ================== JontheEchidna Core Kubuntu Developer says: Update Muon to 1.2.3 from this PPA: https://launchpad.net/~echidnaman/+archive/qapt/ ================== |
