The task manager bar in the default KDE task bar pops up previews of your windows when you mouse over it. That's great and all, but for apps that put parts of their UI along the same edge of the screen, it becomes almost unusable because it keeps popping up over the app you're trying to use.
For example: Blender (the 3D modeler) puts a bunch of its buttons at the bottom. You tend to run it full-screen, and moving the mouse to the bottom of the screen to click on Blender stuff, it's REAL easy to overshoot and have the KDE task manager pop up its previews over what you're trying to do. Then you have to move the mouse away, and wait a moment to clear the preview before proceeding. Moving the task bar to another screen edge doesn't really solve it, just changes the problem to a different place. Is there any way to configure a delay in popping up these previews? I like them, they're just a little trigger happy ![]() |

As far as I am aware, these times are hardcoded into Plasma Desktop, in particular the Task Manager widget. You can certainly disable the tooltips though.

Recent convert to KDE, I'd really appreciate the ability to configure this timeout too. Feature request filed: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=298617
