Must be a something Kubuntu or it's package manager added, it is not a KDE thing. Suggest you post on their forums and/or post a bug report there.

So you have this entry on OpenSuse with KDE 4.8 ?
With OpenSuse and KDE 4.7.4 I have this entry as on Kubuntu 11.10. So I thought it was a KDE problem or a package missing/not installed. I will post on Kubuntu forum too, it's maybe a kind of muon addon. Thank you. |

no idea never saw it, I just assumed it's a Muon thing as that's the current Kubuntu package manager. If you have it on openSUSE then I guess it's because you installed Kpackagekit or it's replacement Apper, which I haven't (I just use Yast sw manager) which is why I haven't seen it.
If you have it on 11.10 and on openSUSE maybe you don't have all the Muon packages installed see http://packages.ubuntu.com/search?keywo ... ection=all for a list apologies for my bad assumptions, learn something new everyday |

I usually use zypper (or apt-get on Kubuntu), but I appreciate this "uninstall" option which is very simple...one right clicked..
So I am searching but not finding anything. Packages for Muon are installed, I thinked about it before ! It's not that. On OpenSuse, yes it's KPackageKit. I asked it in kubuntu forum, so wait and see.. |

in openSUSE 12.1 it's Apper as the gui for packagekit (replacing Kpackagekit), could you have Kpackagekit or Apper installed on 11.10 but not 12.04? for simple uninstalls I use rpm -e

I know because it's my post ! but thank you !
On 11.10 I know I don't have Apper or Kpackagekit and I have this uninstall entry. But maybe I have installed any packagekit package. I have to check this point. EDIT: On 12.04 I have just installed Apper and PackageKit package. It solves nothing... So I am going to uninstall Apper , I don't need it and it does not fix my "problem". |

We must have these packages for this uninstaller entry :
python-packagekit libpackagekit-qt2-2 packagekit-backend-aptcc libpackagekit-glib2-14 sessioninstaller python-aptdaemon.pkcompat For me, the last was not installed.. No need Apper nor KPackageKit. Thanks to you for your help. |
