KRunner crashes for no reason

Tue May 01, 2012 3:38 pm
Hello, everyone.
I've been experiencing problems with KRunner since 4.7 or 4.6 (not sure). The problem is — KRunner crashes for no apparent reason in random time. In previous versions it has been crashing after waking up (I use it on my laptop) and sign of it was lack of password dialog. Now it crashes even without being put into sleep. Of course, I can solve this by restarting the process each time, but I find this way unsatisfying.
I use Gentoo, current version of KRunner is 4.8.1
I will rebuild it with debug flag, if necessary, just tell me, where should I look for log or whatever this flag does.
Thank you, in advance.

Do you see this problem with a different user account? Did you try disabling unused runners (by clicking on the wrench icon then unticking the ones you don't need) to see whether the crash persists?
