Hi,
I want to associate .svg files with inkscape. But they keep opening in chromium browser when I click them in dolphin. I did Open with -> Inkscape -> Remember, but to no avail In right click on svg and properties, I removed all program associations except for Inkscape, but to no avail I have/had ubuntu installed as well, so there might be some gnome settings involved. How to fix this? |

Hi,
Same symptoms - clicking on .svg file open chromium - no matter the KDE file association status https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=291177 Linux Maya 3.2.0-23-generic #36-Ubuntu SMP Tue Apr 10 20:41:14 UTC 2012 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux Qt: 4.8.1 / KDE Development Platform: 4.8.4 (4.8.4) Workaround : right-clicking the .svg file and selecting inkscape - but frustrating nevertheless. Other workaround : uninstalling chromium - works best Hopes this get solved Cheers P |

You need to upgrade to the KDE 4.9.x series (as indicated in the bug report) to get the bug fix for this - unless your distribution backports it.
