Hello

I've compiled the graphics application Mypaint and when I run it directly from the python script "mypaint" that was created inside the folder mypaint it works perfectly. Sadly, when I create a desktop shortcut for it (as I've done for other applications like Blender and Krita, and they worked as intended), it doesn't work. It shows the gear icon jumping next to my cursor and the "Mypaint" tab with a "progression" circle rotating on the panel, like it's going to open:

After some seconds the gear and the tab disappear and the probram doesn't open :/.
What can I do to fix it?

You might want to try running the desktop file via "kioclient exec filename.desktop" from the console. Maybe there's an error message telling you what's wrong.

You may also wish to monitor the content of ~/.xsession-errors using a program using a tail to see if anything relevant is output there as well.

Did you try specifying the full path to the script?
