I want to update kde from 3.5 to 4.05 and was wondering which file to use, I am using Sabayon and am using an english version. So what is the file name for english. Thanks!

I would recommend updating to KDE 4.1 instead of KDE 4.0, because it has more features ( than 4.0 ) and has more bugs fixed as well. In general it is a more pleasurable experience.

How does one go about installing 4.1?

You can use your distribution's package manager to upgrade to KDE 4.1, however you may need to add certain repositories. The best place to ask about upgrading to KDE 4.1 on your distribution would be your distribution's forum.
