Hi,

I'm using kde4 (4.1.1) on FreeBSD7. I got, though not very out-of-box, dual monitor working with it. I use:
Code: Select all
$ xrandr --output LVDS --right-of VGA

and logout-login from kde to get dual monitor with external screen on top of laptop screen.

Everything is fine with all plasmoids and panel on VGA (screen 0). But what i want them to appear on LVDS (laptop scrren 1). Is there any way i can do that. Basically i want laptop screen to be primary and external screen secondary.

Thanks for your help.

Same question here. I use intel graphic card with kde 4.5 and xorg-server 1.9.2.

[EDIT]

I've found solution. You should run command:
Code: Select all
xrandr --output LVDS --primary

By the way, why this option isn't in KDE configuration? Please add it!

OS
It is present at least in my version, see System Settings > Display & Monitor: http://simplest-image-hosting.net/jpg-0 ... ktopur2765

I believe this may have been added in 4.6 though...
