Kubuntu now freezes upon start up. It almost loads correctly after I login but then it seems as though the task manager is trying to load something but then it fails. I'm also given a crash error as well but since it freezes soon after I can't really Diagnose it. Failsafe mode doesn't work and booting into old kernels still results in freezing as well.

I should also point out that I tried to add a startup script for xgamma. maybe that's what's freezing my computer?

if it started fine before the xgamma script move/delete the script and try again
does the xgamma script work ok if KDE is already started? |

How do I move/delete the script if Kubuntu freezes right after Kubuntu starts?

actually after awhile I can still use Kubuntu but plasma workspace seems completely frozen. It'll randomly work for a Isecond and then freeze again. I can still run apps via Guake thankfully. How can I run the startup manager from terminal?

I did it! I deleted the startup script in the short interval during which it started. I think it was a conflict between redshift and xgamma for whatever reason.

Marked as solved, as it seems this is now fixed.
