KDE and MIDI files

Sun Oct 28, 2012 3:47 am
Hi.

I recently realised that KDE must have recently added support for playing MIDI files in Phonon, which is awesome!

But is there a way for me to use and specify different soundfont?

Thanks

KDE likely gained MIDI file support for free when the backend you are using (likely GStreamer or VLC) gained support for MIDI. As such, setting the sound font will depend on the settings for these backends - which will likely be made through their regular configuration files.

Ah. Thanks. In that case I am using gstreamer, and it seems they use some library called wildmidi, which uses a different format of soundfont
