Greetings. I am new to KDE. So far it is fantastic.
I cannot seem to get my touchpad settings to persist. I have an Apple Magic Trackpad attached to my Linux Mint (KDE) system. (Yeah, I am a Mac user also.) I can see the settings stored correctly in this file: /home/jake/.config/synaptiks/touchpad-config.json When I change the settings (by going to system settings/input devices/touchpad) and click "apply", the settings take effect and also show up in the above-noted json file. However, if I reboot the machine, the settings are not read. The settings still appear to be correct in the json file, but they appear to have reverted to defaults in system settings/input devices/touchpad/ How to fix? - Jake - |

After logging out, can you confirm the contents of the file are intact as they should be?
Synaptiks is a 3rd party application unfortunately, so it is difficult to know if this could be a bug in it.

Yes, the settings are intact after logout. As I am new to kde I was unaware that synaptiks is 3rd party. Maybe I should find out how to contact the maintainers.

You should file an issue at https://github.com/lunaryorn/synaptiks .
