1) ensure tool tips in icon-only setting is enabled (and shown immediately) and that the taskbar thumbnails effect is enabled in systemsettings -> desktop effects -> all effects

you may need to restart plasma-desktop for this to work, ignore messages

Thanks! But I do not mean thumbnail tips or tool tips. Icontasks now the running state of the triangle, but there is no mouse hover status indication.

what triangle?
