Hello.
I searched the forum and wasn't able to find out what I was looking for. I recently started having a problem where newly opened windows are opened behind the others. I also have a problem where menus and even the kickoff launcher is behind other windows. As you can imagine this is causing severe problems. I looked in window behavior and found nothing wrong. Desktop effects haven't been changed. The only change is my new kernel. I compiled 3.7 and am testing it now on Fedora 18. I would appreciate any ideas. Where should I look, and what should I look for? |

Oh, and something I just noticed. It appears to be intermittent. For example, sometimes when I right click on Opera it works. A few seconds later it doesn't. Same for anything in system settings, firefox, dolphin, etc...

Okay KDE crashed. Would anyone like to see the log? If so which one specifically?

It looks like a severe issue with your system. Do you see the same issues with another, freshly created user account?

Actually, I installed updates and restarted. I am still using kernel 3.7, but the problems seem to be gone. I also changed my "Compositing type" to OpenGL and that seemed to fix the problems. I am having an issue with KDM though. The time and date are wrong. I thought that was supposed to be fixed a few versions ago?

Can you open a separate thread for this issue and mark this one as solved, if you no longer experience the problem?
