I just did a (nearly) seamless yum install of the KDE Quanta Plus web development editor
to my Fedora 17 KDE with :
Code: Select all
yum install kdewebdev kdewebdev-libs kdewebdev-devel

and I am already working in this WYSIWYG editor and previewing html code, including of downloaded web pages -
all great for the learning process.

However, how can I get it added to the menus ?

Quanta Plus is not yet listed in either the Classic Menu style
or the Application Launcher Menu style -
yet by using the search function in the Application Launcher it does get found and shown with the Quanta Plus icon
which I can double click to get in the application.

It should be possible to manually add to the menus newly installed software
and many yum installs are automatically added into the menu.

I am searching how to add manually to the menus though, as it will be how I'd want to get into this web editor.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

I did access kmenuedit from the command line, but would need the bin command I guess.

Also. I did click and drag the application icon to my desktop so it is easy to start at least - though it is not really in the menu yet.

It should have shipped with a menu icon.
Please run "kbuildsycoca4 --noincremental" then logout and back in again to ensure any changes have propagated.

As for the menu editor, it should be accessible if you right click on the menu icon in the panel and select "Edit Applications...".
