Before I reinstalled Kubuntu I had 3 folders in ktrash that could not be deleted. If I empty trash, nothing happens, no warning nothing. If I try to delete them manually in ktrash(through dolphin) it says "Could not remove folder /media/Music/.Trash-1000/files/Albums." If I try to restore it, it says the original location does not exist. The "Albums" folder was located at /media/Music/Dr. Dre so I created a folder named Dr. Dre at that locatin, and was able to restore them, but I still can not remove the folders:
xplorer4x4@xplorer4x4-MS-7673:/media/Music$ sudo rm -frvv Dr.\ Dre/
rm: cannot remove `Dr. Dre/Albums': Directory not empty
rm: cannot remove `Dr. Dre/Compilations': Directory not empty
rm: cannot remove `Dr. Dre/Singles': Directory not empty
xplorer4x4@xplorer4x4-MS-7673:/media/Music$ cd Dr.\ Dre/
xplorer4x4@xplorer4x4-MS-7673:/media/Music/Dr. Dre$ ls -a

Can you please check "dmesg"? I suspect you will see plenty of complaints in there about file system problems...

The output "ls: reading directory .: Input/output error" is a definite indication that the underlying file system of this device may be corrupted or damaged. A fsck or full re-format will be required to correct this.

Assuming this means /dev/sde5 then this is not the drive where the folders were/are located.

The device 'ata5' is not necessarily /dev/sde. Please see the article http://www.miriup.de/index.php?option=c ... &Itemid=25

Note however that those messages given by the kernel are high indications that either your disk is underpowered or is in the process of failing. I would suggest a full backup of anything important be done.

VERY useful read! I actually bookmarked that for future reference, thanks! Looks like your right, that is indeed the drive, which I suspected as failing anyways.
