Hello

After a new install (opensuse 12.2) i can't even move the mouse , or if i can it's very slow motion and can take untill 5 or 10 minutes for a click to answer correctly.
I went to nepomuk but it was not On as default.
What else can slow the machine so much ?

run ksysguard and see if anything is eating cpu and/or i/o, for something more responsive open a vt (alt+ctrl+F1) and run htop and iotop instead of ksysguard (assuming they are installed)

i did run top and saw many akonadi_agent at the top

In KDE, press Ctrl + Esc to display the process table. You can sort by CPU usage by clicking the column header, and press Del to kill the selected process (though killing akonadi or nepomuk processes is not a good idea).

what is strange is that kde version 4.9.5 "release 3" works ok and pc is no longer slow (it was 4.8.4 before)

Just to confirm - this issue is solved now with the upgrade to KDE 4.9.5?

yes, i just don't understand why is was slow and an upgrade solved that. Previous version was supposed to be ok.
I'm with kde 4.10 now and still ok
