Oh and there was soem debate on the Kubuntu forusm that I may have been overworking my PSU so I have unplugged a few things to bring power draw down to a level that was with out a doubt with in the limits of my PSU.

Those dmesg messages are unfortunately not indicative of what the problem may be, they simply indicate that a device (either on your network or elsewhere) is not sending IPv6 packets in the correct manner.
I'm not aware of anything else you can try unfortunately - I was expecting tweaks to the I/O schedulers or subsystem to sort the issue out. Otherwise you might be facing a kernel bug in the I/O subsystem.
