is there a way to use enlightenment17 as kde's wm? thanks |

Are you referring to replacing KWin or Plasma?
For KWin, it should just be a case of launching the appropriate Enlightenment17 window manager instead. However do be aware that compositing will probably not be available, and certain parts of Plasma may not behave properly, or as they do under KWin.

thanks for the reply!
i want to replace kwin, as it was done for compiz (in systemsettings https://dl.dropbox.com/u/34973756/wm.png ) but there is no enlightenment_start's line (may be it need a script?) i also try edit /etc/profile file, add lines
but i get enlightenment+kde DE's in same time (with panels and desktops). I need only WM. How to do that? |

you could delete the panel(s) and set desktops to 1 in systemsettings

sorry but not sure what you mean, you mean by "window header (simple window)", if you mean the window list widget you can just place it on the desktop |
