Configuring the Places panel

Tue Mar 12, 2013 3:31 am
1. Is there a way to add separators in the Places panel? I can add separators in the bookmarks for konqueror, konsole, kfile dialog, etc.

2. After hiding my hard drive partition mount points, those items no longer appear the Places panel. There is a duplicate Places in Dolphin --- a button icon next to the editable location bar. Despite being hidden in the normal Places panel, all of the hard drive mount points still appear in that list. Is there a way to disable them or is this a bug?

Thanks. :)

Which "Places" panel are you referring to here?
Is it the Places panel in the file selector, in Kickoff, or somewhere else?

Hi,

To the left of the Location bar is a folder icon. Select that icon and the Places list will drop down, but all of the hidden devices appear.

Press F9 to show the Places panel and the hidden devices do not appear.

Thanks. :)

I see. This is in Konqueror correct?
If so, I suggest filing a bug report against Konqueror, as it is using different code to that used by Dolphin, and is missing the implementation of the hidden bit (or the hidden bit is implemented per application, in which case this is expected behaviour).

Okay. "Hidden bit" seems to be good key words that should help in the report.
