PCLinuxOS has just upgraded KDE to 4.10.1, and I now find I cannot position widgets within about 20 pixels of the screen edges. When I remove the mouse they move away from where I've placed them, as if they're afraid of going too close to the edge.
This means I can't lay my desktop out as I wish and use the space efficiently, and the result is aesthetically poor with the wide margins unbalancing appearance. I've looked for a setting for margins or edges but can't find one. How can I overcome this limitation please and put my widgets where I want them, using space as I would like? |

I used to have these widgets tucked more into the corner, but this is as close as they'll stay now. I'd like to have that margin between a third and a half of the size. |

If you try to move it near a screen edge which does not have a panel or cashew, do you get the same effect?
Also, which layout are you using for your desktop?
