I'm using KDE on my MythTV server which is connected to my HD Plasma TV via HDMI . ie no VGA
Server is always On and when I turn on TV KDE Daemon pops up with :
"Monitor setup has changed"
A new monitor Output has been detected, do I want to Adjust the settings .

Now I only have 1 output connected via my HDMI port , and this has never happened before.

Not sure what version you want but here is one of my KDE libraries :( :(

It is probable that the TV either changes resolution during the startup phase, or the turning on/off of the TV creates an effect that the monitor has been disconnected and reconnected.

If the correct resolution is still being output to your screen, you can disable this at System Settings > Startup and Shutdown > Service Manager. Find "Display management change monitor" and disable it. You probably want to stop it at the same time as well.

perfect thanks.
another related question, KDE and X org thinks my Video output is VGA-0 port but I've connected only to a HDMI port to my TV, any reason why this so.
makes it a bit confusing as I thought this was the problem not the service .
thanks

This is likely a issue with your graphics drivers - you'll need to file a bug with your distribution or the driver developers directly to get this fixed i'm afraid.
The output of /var/log/Xorg.0.log might be helpful in diagnosing why this happens though.
