That is the error message I get when I try to Save As or load from Kate, Kwrite or when I open Dolphin. I don't know where
in the file system kio_file is supposed to be or what it is supposed to look like, nor which package I need to download and install to restore it. This means I can write and save in one open file, I cannot use other tools where files are loaded dependent on the same process. I can still use Midnite Commander because it works at a lower level. Hope someone can help me soon, B. Sellers |

That I will keep in mind if it recurs. Well since I had no replies I started attempting re-install about 13:00 local time and finally got it working about 18:30. Had to shut down my extra partitions first and format the /home in order to get everything I needed. After I booted up and saw that everything was ticking over properly I remounted those extra partitions and rebooted. Thanks for your input. sellers |
