I am supporting a Linux application that wants to allow users to see/use the desktop manager's toolbar and menus some of the time, and at other times it does not want the desktop manager to be shown or accessed. The enable/disable needs to be under software control.
I am using Gnome and cannot get this to work. I was told that KDE has this type of functionality. Before I switch desktop manager's, I want to be sure that KDE really can be enabled/disabled by a software application. The application will be the only real user app running on the Linux machine. Thanks, Herb Miller |
