why i can't attribute a panel to a specific desktop? and why i can't give a name to a panel, because attribute a specific panel to a specific desktop will help me to orgenize more my workspace?

I'm afraid it is a design decision of the KDE Workspace that all desktops and activities are required to share the same panels. The only way to get different panels is with different screens i'm afraid.

but as saisd attribute a specific panel to a specific desktop will help to more orgenize the workspace, and you should know that enlightement 17 is advantageous in this point but the probleme with it is that i can't give a name to the panel. I suggest to make a poll(sounding) about this idea

As the KDE 4.x series Workspace is now in maintenance mode, this is unlikely to be changed in the KDE 4.x series. As KDE Plasma Workspaces 2 is currently under development (to be used with Qt 5) it could be potentially changed there. I would suggest opening such a poll on this forum in the Discussions & Opinions forum, however please be aware the ultimate decision will be made by the developers.

I posted this problem in "KDE Workspace Vision" but I had no answer and I wish well that developers apply this option

Please note that while you can suggest things to the developers, it is ultimately up to them whether it gets implemented or not.

This is possible, but you need to trick a bit.
Run
Create a new rule, press "detect" and click the panel you want to affect. You want to match window class, role and type. In the second tab, force the window to the intended desktop. Now the "tricky" part: the class match is on "exact", set it to "substring" and ensure the value to be "plasma". The reason is that plasma-desktop changes the class from "plasma-desktop" to "plasma" what is kinda illegal (tststsss ![]() Press apply and change the virtual desktop, the panel shoud fade/slide/disappear as any other window. |
