I was wondering is there such a thing (that pops up when a new port is being forwarded)? For instance dd-wrt can display the forwarded ports but one has to bother opening that router page.

Unfortunately i'm not aware of any integration with UPnP devices as such within KDE at this time - but you might find something on kde-apps.org for this.
