kdesu / sudo - root window widget style

I have recently been trying out mageia 3 and 4 (beta) and i have encountered a rather annoying problem. Installing themes and applying them as a regular user works very well, however - when running applications that need root privileges, the default oxygen widget style is used.

I have tried running systemsettings both as a root user (from terminal with su -), and using kdesu. It actually lets me switch between the different widget styles but only the preview changes, the style is not actually applied when running things as root.

I have also tried copying files from /home/username/.kde4/share/config/* to /root/... But no change.

Weird thing is, i can change icon set for root without problem.

I guess the environment under which the root applications are run when using kdesu (which i assume is the application used to elevate privileges under kde) is not the same as when logging in as proper root. (Yes i know you should not do that).

I realize this is a rather minor issue, but in spirit of a unified system appearance i thought i might ask if there is any way to actually get this stuff working?

Under mageia 3, kde 4.10 and mageia 4, kde 4.11

Do you have a root user with a /root homedir?
Do you have /root/.kde/share/config/kdeglobals?

Aye, i got a root user, and i have /root/.kde4/share/config/kdeglobals (i suppose that one qualifies?)

Btw, checking the same file i can see that widgetStyle=cleanlooks. The application is still displayed with the oxygen look though. Just to be clear here, this is for applications running with root privileges when i am logged in as a normal user.

it should contain

[General]
widgetStyle=foobar

and "foobar" should update with setting the style as root.

The other place to update the style (maybe that's broken on kdesu change?) is
kdesu qtconfig
eventually
kdesu qtconfig-qt4

Thanks for the help friends, although I am terribly sorry to have wasted your time. I Just realized why things were not working as expected: it seems the Mageia Control Center (which i used to check if the themes/styles were applying) is actually written using gtk. Same for the frontend to urpmi. Thats why i thought stuff werent working. Again, sorry - and thanks.
