System Settings -> Display Configuration
I see my two monitors here, and there is a grey star on each monitor. I click the star on the monitor which I would like to be the primary one and the star becomes yellow. However, after I apply and close and go back, the star is grey again. It also does not hold the setting. For example, when I click a youtube video to be full screen, it opens as fullscreen on the monitor I would like to be the secondary. Is this a known bug or am I doing something wrong? |

No idea about the star behavior, but a window goes fullscreen on the screen that it is unless explicitly asks for another one.

From what I am aware, the "star" in KScreen is supposed to indicate the primary monitor. Does the xrandr command have any impact on setting the primary monitor? Also, which graphics card / driver combination are you using on your system?

There must have been some reason why the window was going fullscreen on the opposite monitor that it was originally open on though.
xrandr seems to have properly set the primary monitor now. Thanks for the suggestion. Both the stars are still grey in KScreen but the monitors are working as expected now. |
