I'm running on a recent Macbook Pro w/ the Retina display.
When at work, I plug my laptop into two externals via the two DIsplayPorts. I then enable both of them and disable the laptop screen. When i'm away from my desk, I have to re-enable the laptop screen via System Settings. If I just unplug the externals, then the laptop screen is 'off' and I cannot turn it on easily. Is there a way to get the expected behavior of automatically turning the laptop screen on when I disconnect the externals, and of disabling the laptop screen when i close the lid but leaving the externals enabled? Thanks, --Murph |

the kscreen2 daemon should automatically react to screen additions removal
for a more flexible approach (or maybe analyzing why it doesn't work?) you could make use of http://keithp.com/blogs/x-on-resize/ The laptop lid is usually a button event that can be handled via udev or acpid - for a start see here: http://unix.stackexchange.com/questions ... dev-events (though i wonder why powerdevil does not offer me an eventhalndlig config for it) |
