We have the KDE Desktop installed on our workstations here at work.

We have this view problem on the workspace description text which if unreadable depending on the amount of active windows in the workspace. Is there a way to clean this up?

I'm afraid it doesn't appear that this is possible - you can disable the names, but you can't change the appearance used for the names nor disable the display of the window positions.
