Hello,

I would like to have the following setting:

workspace 1 of the current activiy should be displayed on my Laptop/regular screen.
workspace 2 of the current activity should be displayed on my external monitor

Is this possible? Or are there plans to make it possible in future?

Thanks in advance. :)

I guess this means it's not possible.

Could you please define what you mean by Workspace? Currently, when a secondary monitor is connected Plasma will automatically extend itself to it - and treat that extended space as part of the same activity.

Oh, my wording was wrong, wasn't it? My activity consists of two desktops/workspaces or whatever it is called. And the external screen shall show Desktop 2 and my normal monitor Desktop 1.

Ah, different virtual desktops. There is a topic in the KWin forum concerning this - in essence, the specification which provides support for virtual desktops doesn't support this. A workaround was offered there though I think.

Yes, that's the same problem as yours. It seems to get requested a lot, but is difficult to implement because that standard doesn't consider it.

I'm working on the KDevelop IDE.
